David Dorfman is an acclaimed choreographer, educator, and activist whose work explores themes of power, protest, identity, and memory. Based in Connecticut, he founded David Dorfman Dance in 1987 and serves as a full professor of dance at Connecticut College. His choreography has been commissioned across the U.S. and Europe, and he’s been the recipient of a Guggenheim Fellowship, multiple NEA and NYFA fellowships, and a “Bessie” Award.
